Biohack Yourself Media was on-site to document the occasion, with reporter Shelbi Byrnes covering the celebration and photographer and videographer Adam Chani capturing the ribbon-cutting ceremony, memorable interactions, and excitement surrounding the opening.

The event offered a closer look at the people and philosophy behind Flourish Dental Boutique, a practice built around the belief that effective dentistry should prioritize preserving natural oral health whenever possible.

The personal journey behind Flourish Dental Boutique

For Dr. Engram, the path toward holistic dentistry began long before the opening of her newest location.

Raised on a farm in Hillsboro, Texas, she developed an early interest in healthcare through family members working in the medical field. She later graduated magna cum laude with a biology degree from Texas Christian University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry.

Her professional perspective changed following her own experience with autoimmune disease, which prompted her to reconsider the relationship between oral health, nutrition, and the body's broader biological systems.

That experience ultimately influenced her transition toward a more integrative approach to dental care, emphasizing prevention and careful consideration of the materials and procedures used in treatment.

Dr. Engram also pursued training as an integrative health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, further shaping her interest in the relationship between lifestyle and wellness.

Today, that philosophy guides Flourish Dental Boutique, where her approach centers on understanding patients as individuals rather than focusing exclusively on their dental conditions.

A holistic approach to dental care

Flourish Dental Boutique combines conventional dentistry with a whole-body perspective that emphasizes prevention, biocompatibility, and personalized treatment.

Its holistic services include certified SMART amalgam removal, ozone therapy, laser dentistry, and nutritional guidance, reflecting Dr. Engram's belief that dental care should support patients' broader health goals.

Central to the practice is a philosophy Dr. Engram describes simply: the best dentistry is the least dentistry.

Rather than emphasizing treatment alone, Flourish Dental Boutique encourages patients to take an active role in maintaining their oral health through education, preventive care, and informed decisions about their treatment options.

The Frisco location extends this approach beyond the practice's established Richardson office, offering another setting for patients interested in integrative dental care.
